Description
Day 1. Arrive Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. 8 hours/480km
On arrival in Bishkek, the bustling capital of Kyrgyzstan, you will be met and transferredto Karakol. Today your adventure takes you along the North shore of LAKE ISSYK-KUL to KARAKOL, via 11th-century BURANA TOWER, and ancient Silk Route staging post, and the prehistoric PETROGLYPHS at Chopon-Ata. Lunch in café or roadside yurt (the Kyrgyz equivalent of motorway service stations) is included. After lunch you will be transferred to the jetty, where a pleasure boat will be waiting to take you on a 2 hour cruise along the Issyk-Kul Lakeshore. Overnight at our Yurt Camp Arista in the center of Karakol Town upon arrival.
Day 2 - Transfer Karakol-Jety-Oguz valley
Transfer Karakol town - Jety Oguz valley, to Yidyk. Meeting with horses. During this day you will see Dragon Valley and forest of Tien Shan fir tree. (5-6 hours of walking). Camp (2600m). Lunch by the way. Dinner. Distance during the day; Ascending distance: 900 m.
Day 3 - Yirdyk valley – Karakol valley
After breakfast start walking to Yirdyk valley. After lunch descent to Karakol valley. Camp (2400m). Hiking 6-7 hours. Dinner.
Day 4 - Karakol valley – Kashka Suu valley
After breakfast hike up to along Kashka suu valley to Djaman Tor Pass 3560m. Hiking 5 hours. In this day you will see famous Karakol ski base. Lunch.
Day 5 - Altyn Arashan valley
Breakfast. Djaman Tor valley – Chon Kok Djar pass 3350m. – Alyn Arashan valley sulphur hot springs. Your evening is at leisure for taking bath in this lovely spot and do radial trek to the place which is know as "Swallow's nest" (man made bath inside the rock). Hiking 4-5 hours. Camp 2200m.
Day 6 - Takyr Tor valley
Breakfast. Little ascent along the Arashan valley till the junction with Takyr-Tor valley and ascent to Takyr Tor hot springs. Hiking (4-5 hours). Camp. Dinner.
Day 7 - Takyr Tor valley - Altyn Arashan valley
Today you will descent to Atlyn Arashan valley. Your evening is at leisure for taking bath at hot springs. It will be not difficult and quite short day.
Day 8 - Keldyke valley - Alakul-Lake (3500m)
Breakfast. Ascent along Keldyke valley, leave the horses and walk to Ala-Kul pass (3860m) and descent to Ala-Kul Lake (3500m). Camp.
Day 9 - Altyn Arashan valley
Thise day will be quite difficult. From the lake you will ascent on Ala Kul Pass and descent along Keldyke valley, take the horses and hike till the junction with Altyn-Arashan valley and descent along Altyn-Arashan valley till the sulphur hot springs of Arashan valley. Camp (2200m.). Dinner. Hiking 7 hours.
Day 10 - Anyr Tor valley
This day you will hike to Anyr Tor valley, cross Ashu Tor Pass 3600m., reach Almaluu valley. Hiking will take 5-6 hours.
Day 11 - Almaluu valley - Karakol town
Today you will descent along beautiful valley till Ak Suu village where the car will meet you for transfer to Karakol town. Accommodation in Yurt Camp Arista. Dinner. Distance during the day; Ascending distance: 0 m. Descending distance: 500 m.
Day 12 - Transfer Karakol-Issyk Kul via southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake
Rest at the Issyk Kul Lake. Leasure on the Issyk-Kul lake shore.
Day 13 - Transfer Karakol-Bishkek via southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake
Transfer to Bishkek via southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Visit «Skazka» Canyon Lunch on the way. Accommodation in the guest house. B,L
Day 14. Bishkek – Depart for home. 2 hours/30km
Airport transfer you will depart for home, taking with you many spectacular memories of your visit to Issyk-Kul region and mighty mountains of Kyrgyz Republic.
