Description
Day 1 - From the Karakol leshoz on horses that belong to the local Kyrgyz breed. This is a very special breed of horse, specially bred for riding and transporting goods along narrow mountain paths. These horses are distinguished by their calm disposition and endurance. We go up to the Mokroe gorge. Here, along the road that goes through a spruce forest, sometimes intermingling with birch groves, we ascend to a plateau. And if before that we could admire the beauty of the forest, then here we see all the delights of alpine meadows.
Further our way lies to the white-headed peaks Fuchik (4100 m) and Togliatti. At the foot of the Fuchik peak, hidden behind boulders, there is a lake. On its shore, we camp.
Day 2 - We descend to the Chelpek plateau. A beautiful panorama of the city of Karakol and Issyk-Kul Lake opens from here. Further along the slope we descend to the Karakol forestry enterprise, from here we started our journey.
