Overview
An unforgettable journey through Kyrgyzstan’s most iconic landscapes — from alpine gorges and ancient towers to sacred lakes and nomadic valleys. This program combines cultural immersion, scenic drives, horseback adventures, and authentic encounters with local families. Perfect for travelers seeking both comfort and adventure.
Day 1 — Bishkek – Ala Archa – Bishkek
Arrival at Manas International Airport. Your guide will meet you and transfer to Bishkek (30 min). Morning excursion to Ala Archa National Park, once reserved for Soviet VIPs. Located just 45 km from the capital, the gorge offers easy walks or short hikes with panoramic views of the Tien Shan mountains.
Afternoon city tour of Bishkek: Victory Square, Oak Park, Ala‑Too Square, National Philharmonic, and other landmarks.
Traditional dinner at 19:00. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 — Bishkek – Burana – Chon Kemin
Drive to Chon Kemin Gorge with a stop at Burana Tower (11th century minaret) and the open‑air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). After climbing the tower, continue to Chon Kemin where a local family hosts a traditional lunch. Afternoon horseback ride (≈3 hours) through mountain forests and pastures with panoramic views. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 — Chon Kemin – Issyk Kul – Grigorievskoye – Semenovskoye – Karakol
Transfer to Issyk Kul Lake (1608 m), the “Pearl of Central Asia.” Visit Rukh Ordo Cultural Center in Cholpon Ata, located on the lakeshore, and ancient petroglyphs nearby. Continue through Grigorievskoye and Semenovskoye gorges — two scenic valleys connected at their ends. In Karakol, visit the Dungan Mosque (built without nails) and the old Orthodox Church. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 — Karakol – Jeti Oguz – Fairy Tale Canyon – Bokonbaevo – Ak Sai
Drive to Jeti Oguz Gorge, famous for its red rock formations “Seven Bulls” and “Broken Heart.” Optional short hike (20 min) to a viewpoint. Continue to Fairy Tale Canyon (Skazka) — a surreal landscape of red sandstone formations. In Bokonbaevo, meet a local eagle hunter who demonstrates traditional falconry. Overnight at yurt camp.
Day 5 — Ak Sai – Issyk Kul South Shore – Kochkor
Morning at leisure to enjoy the Ak Sai Canyons, known for their vivid red and orange cliffs. After lunch, transfer to Kochkor Village. A local family will demonstrate felt carpet making, and you can create your own small piece using colored wool. Visit the handicraft museum featuring silver jewelry, traditional coats, and horse decorations. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 6 — Kochkor – Kichi Naryn – Naryn
Drive through Kichi Naryn Gorge to Naryn town. The route passes high mountain ranges and Jalpak Bel Pass (3000+ m). Along the way, meet nomadic families and enjoy breathtaking views of alpine landscapes. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 — Naryn – Moldo – Son Kul
Morning departure to Son Kul Lake via Moldo Ashu Pass (3201 m). This high‑altitude lake (3013 m) is surrounded by mountains and used by herders as summer pasture. Free time to explore the pristine nature. Overnight in traditional yurts.
Day 8 — Son Kul – Kalmak Ashuu Pass – Bishkek
After breakfast and farewell to locals, drive back to Bishkek via Kalmak Ashuu Pass (3400 m). Enjoy panoramic mountain views as you descend into the valley. Overnight at hotel.
