SARY CHELEK LAKE

Day 1 - Arrival in Aeroflot flight in the afternoon

Short sightseeing tour by car in Bishkek. Highlights include the ORIENTAL BAZAAR, WHITE HOUSE, ALA-TOO SQUARE, STATE OPERA AND BALLET THEATRE, POBEDA SQUARE and ORTHODOX CHURCH. After city tour we go to our accommodation. Versal hotel accommodation.

Day 2 -  Bishkek - Ala Archa National Park - Bishkek

Day trip to Ala-Archa National park, mountain walking. This park, a wide beautiful valley of the Ala-Archa river became a protected area in 1976 and is home to over 170 animal species. There are plenty of walking and trekking opportunities in the park. Accommodation in guest house.

Day 3 - Trip Bishkek to  Chichkan valley

Early departure. Stop in the way at Chichkan valley.  Mountain walk.  Overnight in Hotel Ak-Ilbirs. (incl.: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4 - Chichkan valley  to Sary Chelek Lake (560 km)

Esarly departure. We do continue to Sary Chelek.  Accommodation in tents.

Day 5 - Sary Chelek Lake 

Full day at Sary Chelek for hiking. The lake itself is situated some 1873 meters above sea level, it stretches for some 7.5 kilometers , varying in width from 350 m . to 1500 m . and it at its deepest point reaches a depth of 234 m – it is the second deepest lake in Kyrgyzstan .  The shoreline is deeply indented and lined by steep forested slopes – which descend into the depths of the lake.  Accommodation in tents.

Day 6 - Drive from Sary Chelek to the Susamyr valley (450 km).

Early departure to Susamyr valley. Excursion around Susamyr Valley, mountain walk. Overnight in yurt camp,

Day 7 - Drive to Kochkor village 

Today we make the journey to Kochkor, via Kyzyl Oi.  Visit to a handicraft factory in Kochkor. Overnight in guest house.

Day 8 – Kochkor- Djety Oguz-  Karakol.

Transfer to Karakol by the south shore of Isyk Kul lake. Before arrival in Karakol we visit SKAZKA VALLEY. In Kadji Say village you will visit Eagle Man where you will see Eagle hunting display show. DJETY-OGUZ valley in the afternoon, the famous 'Valley of Seven Bulls'. After a leisure to admire the glowing red, sandy cliffs you will be driven to Karakol Accommodation in yurt in Yurt Camp Turkestan, located in center of town.

Day 9 - Horseback trip to Altyn-Arashan valley.

One-day Horseback trip to Altyn-Arashan valley. Walking around, taking bathes with hot springs. Back to Karakol. Overnight in Turkestan Yurt Camp. Dinner in the Dungan Family.

Day 10 - City-tour in Karakol.

After breakfast city-tour in Karakol. Highlights include the ORTHODOX HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, CHINESE MOSQUE and PRZHEVALSKY MEMORIAL (erected in honour of one of the Tien-Shan's greatest explorers), Livestock Market, Sunday Bazaar. Afternoon by free to rest, or to contract optional activities as Kalmyk excursion (to be paid by clients – not included in the package). Overnight inTurkestan Yurt Camp.

Day 11 - Return to Bishkek.

Early departure to Bishkek via petroglyphs in Cholpon-Ata and the historical Burana Tower (11 c.). Optional Rafting at Chui river (to be paid). Accommodation in Guest House.

Day 12 - Transfer to Airport. Flight home.
