Many of Kyrgyzstan's finest trekking and climbing destinations lie inside the Border Zone, a strip of about 50 km along the Kyrgyz-Chinese border. To enter it you need a Frontier Permit, issued by the Kyrgyz authorities through a licensed tour operator.

Get your urgent border zone permit online

There is no need to visit our office, even for an express permit. Send us your travel route, travel dates and a clear scan or photo of your passport by e-mail or messenger, and we will start the fast-track processing right away.

We handle urgent applications for travellers already in Kyrgyzstan and abroad, including Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries. Payment is by bank transfer and can be made from any country.

The permit is an original paper document with official stamps and signatures. Once it is ready, collect it at the Arista Travel office in Karakol, or we will deliver it within Kyrgyzstan: to your hotel or guesthouse in Bishkek, to Osh (please add 1500 som for delivery to Osh), or to another agreed location.

Express processing usually takes 3-5 working days from the moment we receive your documents and payment.

Can I request an urgent permit online?

Yes. Send your route, travel dates and passport copy by e-mail or messenger — no office visit is needed.

Can I pay from abroad?

Yes. Payment is by bank transfer and is accepted from any country.

Can one urgent permit cover several border zones?

Yes. You can request a permit covering several, or all, border zones of Kyrgyzstan — useful if your route may still change.

Is the express permit physical or electronic?

It is an original paper document with stamps and signatures, and you must carry the original with you during the trip.

Can you deliver the urgent permit quickly within Kyrgyzstan?
